Quick & Easy?

A friend of mine and I were at Target yesterday, and as we were checking out, she noticed the "Five Ingredient Meal" magazine.     I think that I have this disbelief that things that only have a couple ingredients, are ok, but not really THAT good.    But, I think that's just because I don't really have a lot of recipes like that.   I didn't have time to look through the magazine and see what they had, but it made me think about how nice it is to only have a couple ingredients and still have really yummy dishes!   So, blog world, what's your favorite quick and easy meal?   I'm home this weekend, and I'd love to have a new meal for my family to enjoy!

Do PBJ's count? Just kidding. One year at VBS at my church when I was little we did the Agapeland Music Machine and I love it to this day. Caroline actually has a copy of the CD I think. OK, here is a link to a quick and tastey 8 or 9 ingredient recipe. I add some tomato paste to thicken it a little bit. It is Tortilla Chicken Chili and might not be good for a warm day, but it is cooling off again this weekend/ early next week I believe. Try if you like! http://www.mccormick.com/recipedetail.cfm?id=10322

My favorite is a crock pot recipe... Creamy Chicken Italiano!

4 chicken breasts
1 packet italian dressing mix
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 block cream cheese
1/2 an onion, chopped
1/2 cup water

Ok, so it has 6 ingredients, but it is so good. Put the onion in the bottom of the crockpot, layer chicken on top. Mix water with italian dressing mix and soup. Pour over chicken. Cook for 6-8 hours on low. One hour before serving, add cream cheese. Stir. Serve over rice! It is so yummy and rich.

Have a great day!

thanks, girls!!! they both sound really good! and sissy, if i could cook in the crock pot every day, i totally would!

you all may this one, but this is one of my favs:

Beef Stroganoff

1 lb. stew beef
2 cans cr. of mush soup
1 packet on onion soup mix
1 can of sliced mushrooms (drained)
1 c. sour cream
** a splash of red wine in there makes this even more amazing!

mix your onion mix, soup, and mushrooms together in the crock pot. then place beef in crock pot, and cover with sauce. cook on low 8-10 hours. 30 min. before you serve, stir in sour cream. Serve over egg noodles or rice, and soooo good!
